Asiatic Dayflower

I love this plant with its tiny vibrant blue flowers. As the name suggests the Asiatic Dayflower (Commelina communis) is native to Asia. As an ecologist, I feel saddened when I find out a plant I love is non-native. As a plant lover, I don't really care where a plant comes from, and while this particular species can be common in human-dominated ecosystems, it is not particularly invasive in native ecosystems. Look for this true blue flowers of this species in shady, disturbed areas.
